Ivy Tech Community College has named Anne Valentine as vice president of workforce partnerships. The position will serve as a strategic adviser to Chris Lowery, senior vice president of workforce alignment.
In this role, Valentine will be a member of the Systems Office Workforce Alignment leadership team, working collaboratively with the team on key external relations, and in fulfilling workforce education and training needs. In addition, the position will establish new, and manage or assist in the management of, existing external partnerships that have the potential to generate new and continued enrollment at Ivy Tech.

Valentine has been with Ivy Tech since 2013 when she joined the College to launch Express Enrollment Centers throughout the statewide system. In 2014, she was named vice president for student experience and customer service, and oversaw admissions, student records, student life, and career services. Most recently, she served as the vice president of enrollment services and customer service.
Prior to Ivy Tech, Valentine served in various roles including: legislative director, policy director and intergovernmental affairs director for former Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels. She managed legislative relations between Daniels and the Indiana General Assembly while also directing legislative liaisons for all state agencies. Additionally, she has held positions at the Arts Council of Indianapolis, Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles, Indiana Department of Workforce Development, and the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir.
“Anne’s expertise with the college, workforce, and state government, coupled with her business and industry acumen will allow her to accelerate Ivy Tech’s goals and initiatives,” said Ivy Tech President Sue Ellspermann. “We are laser-focused on our ambitious goal to increase credential completions to 50,000 each year, which are critical to fuel Indiana’s booming economy and help Hoosiers enter high-demand, prosperous careers. Valentine earned her Bachelor of Science from Butler University and is currently pursuing her Masters of Public Administration from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at IUPUI. Also, she currently serves as Commissioner for the Indiana Arts Commission.
