The Whitley County Economic Development Corporation (EDC) and C&A Tool Engineering MinebeaMitsumi Inc. recently announced the company is expanding its operations in Churubusco and adding new jobs.

C&A Tool plans to invest $3.8M to invest in new equipment and create 15 new jobs at its Churubusco facility. C&A Tool is a national and international contract manufacturer serving the transportation market, aeronautical and defense, medical, industrial, food processing, machine tools market, and more. The company has more than 500 employees and four major manufacturing locations in the northeast Indiana region.

“Churubusco is one of the fastest growing communities in Northeast Indiana. The good paying jobs in Churubusco provided by high-tech, globally engaged companies like C&A Tool is a big reason families want to move to the community,” said Jon Myers, President of the Whitley County EDC. “I am very excited about their continued growth and investment.”

The company will add equipment with cutting edge capabilities for manufacturing, research and development and information technology.

“Our business continues to grow with additive manufacturing technologies and advanced machining capability,” said Rob Marr, C&A Tool President. “This is good for our employees and for all of our communities. We are glad to be in this position for expansion.”

The Churubusco Town Council approved a ten-year tax abatement for the project.

“We are happy to work with our partners at C&A Tool once again to help their growth,” said Mark Pepple, Churubusco Town Council President. “They have been instrumental in our town’s economic growth over the years and we are proud to do our part in this project.”
