The Do it Best Foundation announced the distribution of nearly $113,000 in grants to organizations focused on building a brighter future for kids and families in the communities where the Do it Best team lives, works, and plays.

Three organizations based in Fort Wayne received grants this quarter. Those recipients are: The American Red Cross, $5,000;  Christ Child Society, $5,000; and the Community Harvest Food Bank, $10,000.

“In less than five years, we’ve been able to distribute over $1.4 million through 125 grant awards,” said Randy Rusk, Do it Best Foundation executive director. “These grants ensure that families’ most essential needs of housing stability, food security, health care access, and clothing assistance are met, while encouraging developmental and educational activities to strengthen the minds and bodies of children and prepare them for their brightest future.”

This round of awards also includes a $50,000 grant as part of a multi-year commitment to Arts United’s Soaring Vision capital campaign.
