Solution Group’s OptiClear Platform Earns Shortlisting in 2026 WEX Global Awards

Posted

Solution Group, a full-service, technology-driven water and wastewater management company based in Indianapolis, announced its proprietary wastewater monitoring and reporting application, OptiClear™, has been honored as a shortlisted project in the Water and Energy Exchange (WEX) Global Awards. These awards recognize organizations that have made a significant contribution to the water and wastewater sector, showcasing the best examples of work shaping a smarter, more sustainable water future.

Built by Solution Group specifically for the wastewater industry, OptiClear provides users with real-time alerts and data for proactive intervention. An early adopter of the platform saw a decrease in previous six-figure surcharges, citing instrumental turnaround in compliance and water quality after being armed with up-to-date results and timely notifications of suboptimal conditions.

“We’re proud OptiClear has been recognized as a finalist in this global awards program,” said Chris Pierce, Executive Vice President of Solution Group. “This is a reflection of our commitment to bring the best solutions to the table for our customers. When that perfect tool wasn’t available, we made it ourselves.”

OptiClear is differentiated from other market solutions through three main factors:

  • The platform ties compliance, processes, and cost into one solution, eliminating the need for disparate systems for separate reporting needs.
  • OptiClear was created by and for wastewater industry professionals. Unlike other reporting and monitoring tools, this solution was uniquely designed for wastewater management.
  • Lastly, as a “living” platform, OptiClear engineers can update, upgrade, and add or remove features to ensure the most useful solution for each client’s unique needs.

“I was incredibly encouraged to hear from the judges about the growing number of high-quality entries this year, which made selecting winners increasingly challenging,” said Mark Barker, CEO of WEX Global. “The closeness of scoring across all categories reflects both the exceptional standard of innovation in our sector and the rising prestige of the WEX Global Awards, which are judged by an independent panel of expert judges representing multiple continents.”

In the annual WEX Global Awards, innovators are invited to submit any project, organization, or technology impacting the stages of a smart, circular water economy. For the Innovation in Digital Transformation of the Water Sector category, entries were evaluated on how digital tools, such as data analytics, improve operational efficiency and how the project enables real-time decision making, efficiency, and sustainability across the full water cycle.
