Powers & Sons Construction is pleased to announce the recent promotion of Senior Project Manager Robert Kennedy.
Kennedy joined Powers & Sons as a project manager in 2015 with broad construction experience, including work for the federal government in Washington, New Jersey, and Virginia. Having served in roles including safety director at ethanol plants and oil refineries in Indiana and Wyoming, he also has strong OSHA and construction safety knowledge.
Kennedy has delivered a range of multimillion-dollar construction projects for Powers & Sons across Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland. With a commitment to excellence, he helps the firm create built environments where time, cost, and quality converge to benefit clients and communities. The new construction and major renovation projects Kennedy has successfully completed cross major market sectors, including aviation, nonprofit, retail, K-12 and higher education, state government, utilities, healthcare, and banking.
"Rob is an essential member of the Powers & Sons team. His responsibilities include planning, directing, managing, and overseeing projects to ensure that client goals and objectives are met. A good communicator with strong leadership and problem-solving skills, Rob works collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver value and efficiency in every project," noted Vice President Kelly Powers Baria.
With over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Kennedy actively partners with stakeholders to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget. "I enjoy the challenge of managing multiple projects from start to finish. My focus is to apply cost-effective construction methods, meet all project requirements, and exceed client expectations for quality service," Kennedy explained.
Active in the community, Kennedy also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Social & Learning Institute in Michigan City, Indiana.
