Powers Health Occupational Health hosted the NWIBRT Safety Committee meeting recently at Powers Health Rehabilitation Center in Crown Point.
Rick Weber, director of Occupational Health, and Christopher Sayers, MD, medical director of Occupational Health, led a 20‑minute presentation and Q&A. They shared insights into the current state of occupational medicine from a provider’s perspective. The discussion highlighted trends in pre‑hire screening, workplace injury and advancements shaping the future of occupational health services.
NWIBRT (Northwest Indiana Business RoundTable) represents owners, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers in Northern Indiana.
As meeting hosts, the Occupational Health team welcomed attendees with a buffet breakfast, staff introductions and a collaborative atmosphere. Following the session, tours of the new Occupational Health location, which opened in Crown Point earlier this year, were offered.
