Two members of the Opportunity Enterprises community were honored by the Indiana Association for Rehabilitation Facilities (INARF) at its Annual Award Celebration held recently in Noblesville.
Cassie Stanley, Director of OE’s Renewed Horizons Educational Day Program, received the 2026 Pinnacle Award, and Meagan Toren, who receives services through OE, was awarded the 2026 Justin Dart, Jr. Personal Achievement Award. Both were nominated by OE.
Cassie Stanley: 2026 Pinnacle Award
INARF presents the Pinnacle Award to an outstanding professional-level staff member in a leadership or management role at an INARF member organization who demonstrates exceptional dedication to advocacy, innovation, education, and inspiration, and who is recognized as a leader within their organization. Stanley was selected for her exceptional leadership, visionary approach, and unwavering commitment to improving the lives of the individuals she serves.
“As Director of Renewed Horizons Day Program at Opportunity Enterprises (OE), Cassie transformed Renewed Horizons day program into a model of person-centered support for aging individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, especially those experiencing dementia. She redesigned programming to better meet clients’ needs by introducing reminiscence-based activities, memory book development, and error-free engagement techniques that help individuals remain connected. Cassie continues to expand opportunities for individuals too often overlooked,” said Valerie Thill, Chief Program Officer, Opportunity Enterprises.
Meagan Toren: 2026 Justin Dart Jr. Personal Achievement Award
The Justin Dart, Jr. Personal Achievement Award is presented to an individual participating in services through an INARF member organization who has maximized their skills and abilities to achieve their chosen goals. Toren was selected for her extraordinary example of self-advocacy and her hard work helping others better understand inclusion.
“One of the strongest examples of Meagan’s impact as a disability champion is the way she educates others through direct community engagement. Meagan realizes that real inclusion begins with understanding, and she willingly puts herself in front of classrooms, staff groups, and community organizations to help create that understanding. Through her work with The Nora Project, Meagan has spent the last four years helping students learn about disabilities, acceptance, and inclusion. She creates honest conversations that encourage students to see people for who they are rather than focusing on limitations. Students connect with Meagan because of her openness and sincerity,” said Melinda Mote, Quality Assurance Director, Opportunity Enterprises.
OE Leaders Graduate from INARF Leadership Academy
OE also congratulates Cassandra Dunn, Safety & Facilities Director, and Melinda Mote, Quality Assurance Director, on graduating from the INARF Leadership Academy Class of 2026. The Academy develops high-potential leaders from INARF member organizations through four two-day classes focused on leading themselves, leading others, and leading change.
