NWI Forum Promotes Economic Development Director

The Northwest Indiana Forum recently promoted Spencer Summers to Economic Development Director. He will expand upon his previous role of marketing by working with local economic development organizations to hone in on major regional opportunities and investments. Reinvigorating this position will allow the NWI Forum to be more focused on lead generation and site preparation for Northwest Indiana.

Hired in June of 2022, Summers worked as the Forum’s Marketing Coordinator and prior to that as the Basketball League Director at The Courts of Northwest Indiana for three years. Summers holds two degrees from Purdue University Northwest and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration. Spencer is committed to marketing Northwest Indiana and looks forward to the opportunity to represent the Region.

We look forward to the strong relationships that will grow as he moves into this new role,” stated Heather Ennis, President & CEO of the Forum. Ennis credits additional investments from the John W. Anderson Foundation as well as READI funds to boost this position.
