Lumavate, the SaaS company that empowers enterprises to create mobile apps without needing developers, announced it closed a $6 million funding round. The funding will support scaling Lumavate’s go-to-market team and continued platform innovation for businesses to design, build, and deploy mobile apps faster without requiring development resources.
The round was co-led by Gutbrain Ventures and PBJ Capital, with participation from Allos Ventures, BioCrossroads, Collina Ventures, and 4G Ventures. Lumavate also announced changes to its board of directors, with Bill Godfrey moving to Chairman of the Board. Joining Godfrey on the board is Christopher Clapp, Bob Davoli, Mark Hill, and Jeff Middlesworth.
“This significant funding round demonstrates confidence in our team, product, and vision as we continue to accelerate Lumavate’s platform and scale our go-to-market efforts,” said Stephanie Cox, CEO of Lumavate. “Businesses face enormous pressure to create mobile app experiences for customers and employees that are engaging and drive results – the challenge begins with designing and building the app. We help break through the typical development barriers by enabling business users to build without needing to know any code – to deliver an intuitive app experience at scale that delights their customers.”
Lumavate experienced tremendous growth in 2021 with a 216 percent increase in the number of apps built on its no-code platform. In addition, Lumavate increased the items in the Lumavate Library by 173 percent to provide customers with even more app-building functionality.
“Technology solutions that don’t require deep technical coding expertise are becoming a go-to for enterprises,” said Bob Davoli, Managing Director at Gutbrain Ventures. “ We were impressed by how Lumavate is challenging the marketing status quo with a SaaS mobile app building platform. We look forward to working with the company to help them grow a disruptive platform offering.”
