The two shared wisdom from their own experience as leaders in their respective fields. Lt. Governor Crouch serves as the president of the Indiana Senate and oversees a portfolio that includes numerous Indiana state departments. Dr. Johnson is the president and CEO of Edgewater Health, as well as an international best-selling author and an executive speaker.

Dr. Johnson started off the program by delving into the empowering concepts from her book, “The Unapologetic Woman: Leading with Power and Confidence,” which is about breaking down barriers (internal and external) so women can excel at all levels of leadership or management.

Lt. Governor Crouch opted to hold an intimate fireside chat with attendees. She discussed Indiana’s commitment to empower women, anecdotes from her career, as well as several updates about new state initiatives and vital programs.

As an association, a major part of NWIIWA’s mission is to enlighten and inspire its members to advance their careers. Providing direct insights from distinguished leaders like Lt. Governor Crouch and Dr. Johnson is one way the association’s Education & Networking committee works to fulfill that mission and continually develop women in the region.
