Larson-Danielson Construction in La Porte has announced several new hires, promotions, and awards that highlight the exceptional talent and dedication within our company in 2024.
The company welcome the following new employees:
- Mark Bailey joined in January as a Class A CDL Driver, expertly delivering tools and equipment to job sites across the state, ensuring seamless business operations.
- Andy Musgrave, who came on board in September as a full-time mechanic, is instrumental in maintaining our fleet. With experience from D & M Excavating and Miller’s Construction, Andy’s skills in welding, fabrication, and automotive care are invaluable.
- Elisha Krauth joined in October as our part-time Receptionist. A proud LaPorte native and Ball State University alum, Elisha brings a fresh, positive energy to our team.
- Thomas Klochan became part of our team in October as a Safety Coordinator, known for his innovative approach and passion for safety, ensuring our workplace is secure and efficient.
- Mark Gott joined us in October as a Project Manager, bringing a wealth of experience and a strong educational background from Purdue University, enhancing our project management capabilities.
The company also announced the following promotions:
- Stacy Bibian was promoted to Project Engineer in September. Since joining L-D in 1997, Stacy has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication, and will continue to excel in her new role at the WCC jobsite.
- Jen Waltz has transitioned to the role of PA Department Manager. Since 2006, Jen's commitment and leadership have propelled our team forward.
Additionally, several Larson-Danielson employees were recognized with awards in 2024. Those employees are:
- In addition to her promotion this year, Jen Waltz was honored as the 2024 recipient of the Marilyn Alm Award. The Marilyn Alm Award was established in 2021. The award is named for Marilyn, who retired from Larson-Danielson after 35 years with the company as an office manager. The award is given to office personnel in recognition of exceptional dedication, commitment to improvement, and outstanding performance. Stacy Bibian was the 2021 recipient of the award.
- Jeff Reed has been recognized as the 2024 recipient of the John Simmons Award. The John Simmons Award for Excellence in Supervision was established in 2006. John Simmons was a field supervisor who had worked for Larson-Danielson for 14 years when he passed away in 2005. The John Simmons Award is given to field personnel who embody the following characteristics: Safety, Customer Service, Quality, Productivity, Ethical Behavior, and a Team Attitude.
- Newly created in 2024, the Star Safety Crew recognition highlights field personnel's outstanding commitment to safety. The first winners are Brett Schacht, a project superintendent; Cory Buckmaster, a laborer; and carpenters, Tim Kearney and Phil Piontek. These individuals exemplify our core value of uncompromising safety on the job site.
