TradeWinds will be hosting a Kentucky Derby Gala to celebrate the celebrate the children and adults living with special needs who have made significant strides toward achieving their personal goals. The event will be taking place at The Venue at Horseshoe Casino, Hammond on May 5, 2018.
Before the gala begins, there will be a gaming hour with the derby projected onto a large screen beginning at 4:30 PM.
The gala will honor the achievements of the organization and the people who helped to make TradeWinds even better over this past year. The evening will feature a return performance of the always-popular TradeWinds “Believe & Achieve” adult choir.

TradeWinds provides services for children and adults with physical and developmental disabilities including: childcare, summer camp and speech & occupational therapy; adult day activity & program training (adapt), pre-vocational services (sewing manufacturing, sign shop, packaging, general assembly & order fulfillment), employment services, residential group homes and supported living, respite for caregivers, deaf services and Chicago Lighthouse Low Vision Clinic for residents of Northwest Indiana.
