Nonprofit trade organization Indiana Life Sciences Association, formerly the Indiana Health Industry Forum, launched their new brand and website. This coincides with their 30th anniversary and a long history of leading networking, advocacy, and outreach efforts for Indiana’s life sciences industry and their 200 members.

“By better aligning our brand with our work to support innovation and the growth of the life sciences industry in our state, we will be more efficient and more effective in reaching companies in Indiana, the Midwest, and beyond who are looking for guidance to grow their business,” said Kristin Jones, president and CEO of Indiana Life Sciences Association. “With input from our board, staff, and members, we worked hard to create this new brand that we’re thrilled to unveil. We feel strongly that it better represents who we are and what we do.”

Jones said that having been involved with the organization almost since it began, she’s very proud to see this come to life. She was appointed president and CEO in December 2009, and has an extensive background in life sciences, economic development, and commerce.

“This rebrand was a long-time coming for the organization, because at its inception, there really wasn’t a robust life sciences industry like there is today,” she said. “What we do for our members won’t change, but it was time for a refresh, along with a name and brand that better reflect who we are. We’ll continue to advocate for and connect with our diverse corporate membership to make sure their needs are met and look forward to connecting with new audiences.”

In addition to a new name and website, Indiana Life Sciences Association worked on a new brand which includes bold colors and the torch, a key visual from the Indiana state flag, incorporated into the logomark to represent their leadership. According to Jones, they wanted to convey depth and expertise to show they’ve established themselves as a trailblazer in advocating for the life sciences industry for the past 30 years.

Recently, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation reported Indiana was ranked first in the U.S. for pharmaceutical exports. Additionally, Central Indiana Corporate Partnership shared that the life sciences industry contributed $95 billion to Indiana’s economy in 2023. To maintain the growth of this industry, Indiana Life Sciences Association helps members of all sizes increase their buying power, connect them to potential business partners, and advocate for legislation at the state and federal levels that supports these companies.

“We’re also dedicated to supporting the state’s overall economic development and vitality by representing Indiana at trade shows and outreach events nationwide and internationally to ensure companies know of the opportunities here,” said Jones. “The life sciences industry is essential not only to our economy, but the health and well-being of Hoosiers, so we make sure to give a voice to those doing great work every day.”
