Horizon Bank announces the latest member of its Diversity Business Council: Alexis Harris, Branch Manager at the Benton Harbor, Michigan location. As part of the Council, Harris will help to provide oversight for the bank’s many outreach efforts, with the goal of reaching diverse groups in the areas it serves.
Role of the Horizon Bank Diversity Business Council
The Diversity Business Council plays a critical role in the overall operations of the bank, as a link between the financial institution and the community. The Council is responsible for addressing a broad range of activities intended to better serve customers and team members alike, including:
Members Honored with Display
All Council members have been honored for their work with a prominent, new display in the Horizon Bank corporate office, next to the Board of Directors. The display wall features the names and photos of current members.
The Diversity Business Council was formed in January 2004 and was comprised in-house Advisors from the Bank. In 2012, community representatives were added to ensure broader regional engagement, and inclusion of insights from external perspectives.
