Construction for Holiday World’s Cannonball! water roller coaster is moving rapidly. The top of the 90-foot lift hill was “crowned” recently, and the station building is already in progress. Cannonball! will be the first water roller coaster in the Midwest. The 75-foot drop will be the tallest on a water roller coaster in North America.
“It’s all downhill from here,” joked President & CEO Matt Eckert. “In all seriousness, it’s exciting to see the ride come together so quickly. There’s 1,000 feet of roller coaster track, so there’s plenty of work ahead, but this is an exciting milestone.”
Holiday World is in Santa Claus, Spencer County. Construction of the water roller coaster is on schedule for a May opening,
