Grand Wayne Convention Center Completes Roof and Solar Project

Posted

The Grand Wayne Convention Center has completed an exterior improvement project that included a full roof recover and the installation of a new solar panel system.

The project was designed to reinforce and protect the Convention Center while extending the life of the facility. In conjunction with the roof improvements, the project introduced solar energy capabilities to the building, supporting the community’s commitment to sustainability and more forward-looking energy solutions.

By combining essential building improvements with the new solar panel system, the project addresses the facility’s long-term performance while incorporating sustainable strategies into its future operations.

The Grand Wayne Convention Center is an important gathering place for the Fort Wayne community, hosting conventions, meetings, events and other activities throughout the year. As a regional destination, the Convention Center also brings visitors, exhibitors and organizations to Fort Wayne from across the country. These improvements help position the facility to attract and accommodate future conventions while continuing to contribute to the city’s growing tourism and economic activity.

The project reflects a continued investment in the Grand Wayne Convention Center and its role as both a community gathering place and a destination that brings people to Fort Wayne, combining necessary building improvements with sustainable energy solutions in one project.
