Multiple chambers of commerce from throughout Lake County have teamed up to launch a Women’s Golf Outing and Networking event on Tuesday, August 28th at Wicker Park Golf Course. A portion of the proceeds from the outing will benefit Northwest Indiana’s Habitat for Humanity Women’s Build.
The event is going to feature networking opportunities, and a wine and beer tasting during lunch. Guest spots are also available for non-golfers who wish to attend the networking functions.
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit housing organization working locally and in nearly 1,400 communities across the United States and in approximately 70 countries around the world. Habitat’s vision is of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Habitat works toward this vision by building and improving homes in partnership with individuals and families in need of a decent and affordable place to live.
Wicker Memorial Park Golf Course, located just minutes from Interstate 80/94 on the corner of Ridge Road and Indianapolis Boulevard, is a par 72 course that offers tree lined fairways, a practice green, and driving range.
