Deloitte Appoints Steve Pratt as Indianapolis Managing Principal

Posted

Steve Pratt has been named Indianapolis managing principal for Deloitte LLP.

Pratt succeeds Mary Boelke, partner in Deloitte Tax LLP, who has served as Indianapolis managing partner for more than 11 years. Boelke will transition out of her current role to focus on client responsibilities but will remain active in the Indianapolis community.

Deloitte’s Indianapolis practice employs approximately 500 professionals delivering audit and assurance, consulting, tax, and risk and financial advisory services. Pratt will drive the market’s strategy for growth, business development, social impact, and other strategic initiatives. He will also continue to serve a select number of clients.

“It’s a privilege to have been asked to be the managing principal for Deloitte’s Indianapolis practice,” said Pratt. “I’m passionate about championing the Deloitte brand in Indianapolis, building upon Mary’s great work, and serving our professionals, clients and the Indianapolis community.”

Pratt is a principal in Deloitte Consulting LLP with nearly 30 years of experience. He joined Deloitte in 2012 and specializes in the health care industry, with a focus on the improvement of the patient experience. Pratt is dedicated to developing the next generation of leaders; he has led multiple learning and development programs for Deloitte professionals and is the executive sponsor for experienced-hire onboarding at Deloitte Consulting. Pratt most recently served as Deloitte Consulting’s Indianapolis leader.

“Steve has been an invaluable member of our Indianapolis leadership team,” said Boelke. “He has the ability and experience to build upon Deloitte’s strong presence in the Indianapolis market, and I am confident that he will serve our clients, teams and community with excellence.”

Pratt is the university relations leader for Indiana University, collaborating to create growth opportunities for future talent and faculty in business analytics and the digital enterprise. He is on the board of Ascend Indiana, the talent initiative of the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership, supporting their vision for Indiana to be a place of economic opportunity for all. Pratt has dedicated more than 20 years to HOBY Indiana, the state affiliate of Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership, which is dedicated to the development of youth leaders in their local communities.

Pratt earned his undergraduate degree at Northwestern University. He and his wife, Jennifer, have lived in Zionsville for 25 years, raising two children who are both in college.
