Circle R Mechanical, Inc. is a full-service HVAC, Piping, and Plumbing contractor located in Portage, Indiana celebrating their 50th year in business. They specialize in commercial and industrial construction, both new and remodeling projects in the Northwest Indiana area.
Circle R Mechanical was founded in May 1973 by Ted Szawara who spent his entire career in the sheet metal business. In preparation of his retirement, Szawara sold the company in 2006 to his daughters Christine Heckman and Linda Fogus, who continued the operation along with Tom Heckman maintaining his role as president.
Currently the company is in the process of transitioning management over to the third generation with Eric Heckman as president, and Justin Fogus as secretary/treasurer.
Circle R Mechanical, Inc. has experienced tremendous growth leading to the successful completion of hundreds of millions of dollars of work in the past five years.
In honor of this achievement, a 50th Anniversary cookout was recently held at the company’s location in Portage. The event was well attended by employees, as well as vendors and general contractors doing business with Circle R Mechanical, Inc.
