Bridge of Grace Celebrates Grand Opening

Posted

In a significant milestone for the community of southeast Fort Wayne, Bridge of Grace is delighted to announce the grand opening of its new facility. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held today to mark the beginning of a new era of hope and opportunity for the Mount Vernon Park neighborhood and beyond.

This grand opening not only represents the successful completion of a physical project, it stands as a testament to the power of collaboration between BOG, Design Collaborative, ERI, and Weigand, hard work, and a shared vision for creating a space filled with joy, warmth, and hope.

Each meeting, each square foot cost, and every furniture discussion were all steps on the journey leading up to this moment. We are grateful for the commitment and dedication shown by everyone involved, especially Javier and Kelly whose strength and determination remained unshaken throughout the process.

True to our profession, architects love to tell stories. The Bridge of Grace tells a story of success, not just in its beautiful architecture but in the experiences it will generate. We eagerly anticipate the day when a child will comfortably sing within these walls, or a budding professional will receive guidance on writing their first resume. We look forward to witnessing a myriad of stories unfold within this space, each one a testament to the community's resilience, strength, and ambition.

Led by co-chairs of the Hope Unleashed capital campaign, the Bridge of Grace team has successfully turned a vision of enhanced community support into a reality. Thanks to the tirelessness and dedication of the team and the overwhelming community support received during the two-year fundraising campaign, southeast Fort Wayne residents now have access to this all-encompassing center focused on housing, opportunity, progress, and education.

The new facility, tailor-made to meet the needs of local families, will provide affordable, high-quality care through the Early Years Academy. The academy, which emphasizes child development and kindergarten readiness, aims to be a model that other communities can emulate. The safe and nurturing learning environment is designed to meet families where they are, supporting their growth and development.

In addition to the academy, Alliance Health has a clinic attached to the Bridge of Grace center offering essential health care services. The facility will also provide access to Wi-Fi and computers, aiding community members in their personal and professional development.

Everyone needs hopes and dreams. This building is proof to the residents of southeast Fort Wayne that we care and there is hope. This building is proof of that to the families in the Mount Vernon Park neighborhood.

The profound transformations brought about by Bridge of Grace have already began to reshape the landscape of southeast Fort Wayne, and, with the opening of this new building, the momentum is set to continue.

Congratulations to the Bridge of Grace team for making this possible. We eagerly look forward to the activities, hope, and opportunities that await within these walls.
