Construction firms throughout Northwest Indiana work exceptionally hard to keep people safe on the job and prevent injuries. Now, there’s an opportunity for these companies to earn recognition for all their hard work.
For those that work the safest, NWIBRT (The Northwest Indiana Business RoundTable) will be hosting a special awards banquet in May to honor the top-performing firms. Applications for the safety awards just recently opened, and companies wishing to earn recognition can now visit NWIBRT.org/awards to make a submission.
NWIBRT hosts its safety awards in conjunction with the Construction Advancement Foundation’s (CAF) annual construction awards. Together, the event is called the CAF/NWIBRT Awards Banquet. This year, over 60 companies are expected to be honored, many of which are leading firms.
For the safety portion of the banquet, companies will be judged across a range of performance criteria including things like incident rates, injuries, and hours worked. Earning an award is a great way for companies to show their clients and the community their commitment to working safely and protecting their employees.
In addition to the company safety awards, there are also opportunities to nominate an outstanding craft person, safety leader, or an individual who has demonstrated heroism on the job for an award and recognition.
Award applications are available at NWIBRT.org/awards. Applications are due by February 15, 2022.
The CAF/NWIBRT Awards Banquet will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at the Avalon Manor in Merrillville, IN. Attendees will be kept up-to-date with the latest info at NWIBRT.org.
NWIBRT is an independent, non-profit council of local firms committed to the improvement of construction and maintenance projects in Northwest Indiana.
