Senior Designer Joins American Structurepoint Architecture Studio

American Structurepoint welcomed Bill McCuen, LEED AP, to its Architecture + Interiors Group as a senior designer. McCuen brings over 35 years of national and international experience to the architecture studio and has planned, designed and managed numerous projects nationwide with an emphasis on higher education.

McCuen thrives on projects that transform communities, whether he’s designing schools in Afghanistan, an academic building in the Midwest or master planning a riverfront in a South Carolina town. He focuses on delivering contextually sensitive, sustainable designs that strive to exceed clients’ expectations.

His impressive resume includes leading large multicultural teams designing schools and campuses for United Nations missions in the Middle East and Somalia. His international work also includes projects in China, Yemen, Lithuania, and Russia. McCuen’s national projects include leading design teams and master planning efforts for multiple higher education projects throughout the country. He holds a master’s degree in architecture with an emphasis in urban design from Washington University and has participated in continuing education classes at Harvard University.

“I am thrilled to join the talented American Structurepoint architecture team and will do all I can to contribute to projects that improve the quality of life for our clients and their communities,” Bill said.

American Structurepoint President and Chief Operating Officer Rick Conner, PE, SE, is excited to welcome Bill to the company. “Bill is an excellent addition to the architecture team. I look forward to his contributions to grow our architecture studio for the future.”
