Porter-Starke Services Expands Psychiatry Care in Knox

Porter-Starke Services is pleased to welcome new providers to the Knox location, expanding psychiatric services for residents of Starke County.

Psychiatrists Dr. Elisa Bell and Dr. Di Xun and Nurse Practitioner Lisa Ilg bring years of experience to Porter-Starke Services and join the team of professionals currently serving Starke County led by Dr. Linda Munson, D.O.

Dr. Munson is board certified in Adult Psychiatry and Addictions and has been with Porter-Starke for nearly 15 years.

“Porter-Starke Services is always seeking talented and dedicated providers to care for our community,” said Matthew J. Burden, President/CEO. “We are pleased to have established providers like Dr. Munson who have been dedicated to serving clients at the Knox office for many years,” said Burden. “We believe that the new members of our team will continue to expand access to quality psychiatric care.”

Dr. Bell received her Doctor of Medicine from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. She completed her fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Dr. Xun received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences. He completed his residency of General Psychiatry at Centerstone of Florida in Bradenton, Florida.

Lisa Ilg attended Northern Illinois University where she received her Masters of Science in Nursing. She is board certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

In addition to adding providers, Dr. Munson is accepting patients in need of suboxone, a medication-assisted treatment offered to individuals with opiate addiction.
