OurHealth Expanding in Cincinnati with Multiple Clinics

OurHealth, the nation’s largest near-site healthcare clinic network for employers, announced it will open multiple clinics in Cincinnati to satisfy growing demand in the area. OurHealth is in the final contracting stage with several Cincinnati-based companies and will hire at least 30 employees, a majority of which will be physicians, nurses, health coaches and medical assistants.

The expansion adds to OurHealth’s growing MyClinic networks in Charlotte and Indianapolis. Clients include the City of Indianapolis, OneAmerica, the City of Charlotte, Ice Miller LLP, the Indianapolis Airport Authority and several large and mid-size corporations. The company currently operates in Indiana, Illinois, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Tennessee.

“We’ve met several thought-leading employers in Cincinnati over the last 12 months, and we can’t wait to get started on building out their new clinics,” said co-founder and CEO Ben Evans. “The MyClinic network provides a truly differentiated benefit for employees that results in healthier outcomes and financial savings for both the employee and the employer.”

OurHealth drives value for clients through customized primary care solutions, leveraging technology and data to learn each organization’s challenges and tailoring programs to optimize results. Healthcare providers and clinical staff are empowered to spend quality time with each patient with a goal of creating enhanced individualized treatment plans to achieve greater patient success.

In 2017, OurHealth patients lost a combined 33,000 pounds, 76,000 points of LDL (“bad”) cholesterol and 2,000 points on hemoglobin A1C levels, which is the leading indicator for diabetes. Clients realized an average annual savings of 20 percent on healthcare costs, mostly in the form of reduced emergency room visits, savings on specialty referrals and reduced lab and medication costs.

The company expects its initial network of Cincinnati clinics to open in early 2019 and will announce exact locations in coming months. OurHealth leaders are confident in their ability to recruit talented providers by emphasizing that their practice eliminates everything between them and a personalized experience for their patients.

“We’re looking for clinicians who want to change the healthcare conversation by focusing on prevention, spending more time with patients and educating patients about healthier lifestyles,” said Evans. “This is not an urgent care setting; we expect our providers to build relationships with their patients and drive meaningful changes that result in healthier outcomes.”
