IMA Promotes New VP of Govt. Affairs

The Indiana Manufacturers Association (IMA), the long-time advocate for small and large manufacturers throughout Indiana, announces the promotion of Malika Butler to assistant vice president of governmental affairs. Butler served IMA for the past year as the Government Affairs & Communications Specialist.

Butler’s past experience includes serving as the Manager of Political Affairs at the Indy Chamber of Commerce, and as a Government Affairs Associate with Gubera Public Affairs, LLC. Additionally, she served as a legislative assistant for the Indiana House of Representatives, and Field Manager for the House Republican Campaign Committee while at Indiana University.

Malika will continue her work lobbying on behalf of Indiana’s manufacturing community in the areas of workforce and the environment, as well as managing the administration of IMPAC, the Indiana Manufacturers Association’s Political Action Committee.

“We are pleased to announce the promotion of Malika Butler. Malika has proven to be an effective and respected member of the IMA’s governmental affairs team. Malika’s work this past session was invaluable to Hoosier manufacturers. We look forward to her continued contributions on behalf of our members,” said Brian Burton, President and CEO of the Indiana Manufacturers Association.
