Mayor Uran’s Final State of the City Address May 31st

Crown Point Mayor David Uran be delivering his final State of the City address during an event on May 31st at Bulldog Park in Crown Point. Mayor Uran will be transitioning to a new role as CEO of the South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority beginning in June.

State of the City is a widely attended event that brings together city departments, local businesses, and community stakeholders for a night of networking, awards, and city announcements. This year, Crown Point has been experiencing an exceptional amount of investment and development. The mayor’s presentation will have details about economic development and growth, as well as a recap of the past year.

Additionally, several Crown Point businesses and community members will be honored during the evening with special awards. These will include awards for business longevity, which is given to Crown Point companies that have been in business for 25-plus years, and awards for youth achievement that provide scholarships to young people that have exceeded requirements for community service.

Mayor David Uran has served the City of Crown Point since his first term began in 2007. He was also reelected in 2011, 2015, and 2019. His tenure concludes after the State of the City event on May 31st.
