The Indiana Mineral Aggregates Association (IMAA) board of directors announced the appointment of Calvin Lee to the position of executive director. Lee succeeds Robert Jones as Jones retires after 16 years as the association’s executive director. The change in leadership will be effective on July 9, 2018.

Lee’s career includes 20 years with the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) where he rose to the position of assistant deputy commissioner. He has spent the past 11 years with Indiana Constructors, Inc. (ICI), most recently the director of professional development.

“Calvin looks forward to continuing to make IMAA work effectively for all its members and understands that IMAA cannot be strong without the participation of its members and associate members,” said Gene Yarkie, Rieth–Riley Construction Company and IMAA president.

Indiana Mineral Aggregates Association was founded in 1934 to solve common problems of the Indiana aggregate producing industry, principally in the areas of specifications for aggregates, mine safety and reclamation, air and water pollution, legislation, research for improvements in aggregates used, increased public awareness of the importance of aggregate products in their daily lives and broadening the use and application of aggregates in Indiana.
