Families can follow the yellow brick road to the Old Town Banquet Center in Valparaiso for The Memorial Opera House Foundation Wizard of Oz Character Breakfast on Saturday, February 6 to enjoy a delicious breakfast with Dorothy and her friends from the Memorial Opera House production of The Wizard of Oz.

“What better way to introduce our children to the excitement of local community theatre than offering a fun opportunity to interact with the characters from Oz,” said Jacki Stutzman, Memorial Opera House Foundation Board President.

Doors open at 9:30 am so attendees can sit (first come, first served) with friends and family. Then the fun all begins at 10:00 am with a delightful breakfast of eggs, sausage and hashbrowns.  Children will have an opportunity to meet their favorite characters from The Wizard of Oz!  Dorothy, The Scarecrow, Cowardly Lion, Tinman and all of their friends will be on hand to sing songs, play games, and entertain children of all ages.  Photographers will be on hand so parents can purchase a keepsake photo of the fabulous fun.

Tickets for the character breakfast are $20 for adults and $15 for children age 12 and under.  Or, you can save $5 off the cost of an adult or child ticket to the breakfast by purchasing a character breakfast ticket AND a ticket to a performance the Memorial Opera House production of Wizard of Oz which opens on February 19.
